Office Manager

Asbury’s Office Manager will manage and administrate the church office.

Primary responsibilities:
  • Supports the ministry of Asbury UMC through desktop publishing; printing; special mailings; and updating online communications as needed.
  • Maintains current and past membership records, directories, and visitors lists for Asbury UMC
  • Completes reporting requirements for the denomination.
  • Greets and welcomes all people contacting Asbury in person, online or by phone.
  • Works closely with the Facility Manager as needed.
  • Works closely with the Communications Specialist as needed.
  • In Conjunction with the Senior Pastor and Facility Manager supervises the shower and laundry staff (through the end of 2023).

  • Work or volunteer experience relevant to required duties
  • Positive, initiative-taking attitude; self-starter; team player
  • Detail oriented, highly organized, and capable of multitasking
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient with technology tools including Microsoft Office Suite, database management/church management system, Pro Presenter

This position is part-time, 24 hours per week, Monday - Thursday, 10am - 4pm. The pay is $22-24 per hour plus holidays and PTO. To apply, please send a cover letter, resume with relevant work/volunteer experience, and references to Pastor Kathy.

Nursery Staff

Do you enjoy spending quality time with the youngest members of our community & supporting their parent’s spiritual development? If the answer is yes, then come join the nursery care staff who are paid to work rotating Sundays & special events.

Job Summary: Provide childcare for infants and toddlers ages 0 to 4 weekly during Sunday morning worship services once a month or more and/or for other programs on an as-needed basis for ages up to 5th grade. Paid position $14 - $15 per hour.

  • Must be at least 16 years of age and be fully COVID-19 vaccinated, providing a copy of vaccination card
  • Have experience in caring for children ages 0 to 4 years of age, and also preferably with ages 4 to 5th grade
